I'm trying out painting again. Whenever I watch old shows that used a lot of paintings in them like 'Spongebob' or 'Ren and Stimpy', I get the urge to paint.
I tried going for something atmospheric and a little sad with this one.

One idea I had behind this concept is that the citizens of Bikini Bottom banned together and agreed that Spongebob was nothing more but an annoyance and a danger to others. So as trial, they send Spongebob off in a bottle where he floats up to the surface and later washes up on shore.

This was done with a mix of water color paint, acrylic paint, markers, glue and a bit of colored pencil for his eyes. I tried putting glue for the tears in his eyes and for water drops on the bottle, but it didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it once it dried.

(My mermaid oc)


Name:Betty(gets mistaken for a grown up mermaid Melody (from little mermaid 2)


Fan voice:(Selina Gomez)


Age:(is 1,999,788) years old but looks 19-early 20's).


Tail color:light brown.


Physical Features: cherry red lips l,beautiful long blackhair,blueish green eyes and smooth white skin.


Bra choice:clames(improvises if needed)


Personality:she doesn't socialize mutch but still has friends,kind,sometimes motherly,caring,brave, painfully honest,is curious but won't go anywhere dangerous(unless a friend is in danger),usually stays away from stressfully things but will fight if needed.


Likes:babies,singing,(loves visiting the mermaid lagoon's waterfall where she can also see the dinosaurs (from King Kong 2095)livesand helping those in need.


Mermaid lagoon:(on the surface has endless jungle but


Dislikes:bullies,abusive people,pirates,potchers and whalers.


Fears:V.rex,loosing friends,leviathan,

(3 weeks after SpongeBob was exiled)


Betty:(humming as she sits on her favorite rock in mermaid lagoon when she sees something so swims to see)


SpongeBob:(sad sniffing)


Betty:(as she gets the bottle she hears the leviathan roar in the distance and swims back.still in underwater but is back in the shallows and as she opens the bottle SpongeBob floats out and she gently puts him in her hand)


SpongeBob:who-(sad sniffing)who are you.... your not going to eat me are you?


Betty:what,no.... and my names Betty...who are you?


SpongeBob:SpongeBob(sad sniffing)


Betty:hey...what Rong?


SpongeBob:I was kicked out of my home in bikini bottom because they think I'm a liability(starts to crie)


Betty:oh,I'm so sorry to hear that

(She gently puts him against her cheeks and he hugs her cheeks)


Betty:SpongeBob,you okay?


SpongeBob:(asleep)


Betty:(slightly worried) poor guy must've not slept for weeks...or maybe more.


(swimming into the sea cave/her home,she gently lays him dow on a pillo then she swims out of the entrance (witch has very tall sea weed covering it)


Betty talking to herself:he said bikini bottom....but that's all the way north out to the Pacific(moves tge sea weed slightly to check on her nee friend)I don't know what happened, but I promise,i'll keep you safe.


(Gently puts him on another pillow then gets into her bed and as sees the moon come up falls asleep...but unknown to both of them a male V.rex is watching closely from the treeline and decides to come back every morning,eavning and nights because Betty's mom and dad were killed by him,but her father using the knife at the time didnt hurt his right eye enough to not work but did manage to give him four scars on that eye).
